Indian diaspora in Maple Valley
Along with other Southeast Asian immigrants, Maple Valley is home to a group of Indian settlers. According to government figures, the city has around 22,500 Indian citizens.
Two main factors for Indian immigrants to the area are the availability of real estate properties and the vast work prospects at Amazon, Avalara, Costco, Expedia, Google, Microsoft, Starbucks, and other IT businesses.
Across the United States, there are an estimated four million Indian Americans, and roughly one-third of start-up businesses in the US founded by immigrants have Indian founders.
Maple Valley, a primarily residential area, is a popular destination for families. The little city of Maple Valley appreciates its proximity to larger towns only a short drive away. As a result, it is easier for families to take advantage of the benefits these locations offer without relocating there.
