Maple Valley Cricket Club

Kid’s Cricket Training Camp

The City of Maple Valley, Maple Valley Parks & Recreation, and MVCC collaborated to offer introductory cricket classes to Maple Valley boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 14 in the summer of 2021. For six weeks, Summit Park fields hosted the first youth cricket league.

Rules, batting, bowling, and other fundamental abilities for the second-most popular sport in the world were taught. Most of the community’s kids had the chance to learn how to play cricket thanks to the event’s great success! We are grateful for the weekly instruction and practice-related skills and games.

Visitors who came to learn more about cricket included Mayor Sean Kelly, School Administrators Director Pete Miller, Superintendent Mike Hanson, Glacier Park Elementary Principal Shelly Gaston, and Tahoma Elementary Principal Jerry Gaston. They even tried their hand at bowling and batting the ball.
