Ganesh Utsav
The auspicious Hindu festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chavithi, is observed for ten days each year. According to the Hindu calendar, the festival is celebrated during the Bhadra month, typically between August and September. It is the beloved elephant-headed deity Lord Ganesha’s birthday.
Most Hindus remember Ganesha and ask for his blessings before beginning any significant work because he is revered as the God of wealth, science, wisdom, knowledge, and well-being.
Hindus all over the world rejoice and celebrate this festival with great devotion. It is thought that those who pray to Ganesha can achieve their goals and aspirations. Therefore, the primary meaning of Ganesh Chaturthi is that those who pray to him are purified of their sins and are guided toward a life of wisdom and knowledge.
People have started celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi in an environmentally friendly manner over the years as environmental awareness has grown. This includes purchasing Ganesha idols made from organic clay or mitti and decorating the pandals only with flowers and natural materials.
